Our stay at this guesthouse was enjoyable, with a cozy atmosphere and a great base to explore Reykjavik. The breakfast was delightful, and we especially appreciated the tour desk's help in planning our adventures around the city.
In my wife’s opinion, more blankets for kids would be great.

The location is quite convenient, offering easy access to both the bus terminal and downtown Reykjavik, making sightseeing a breeze.
However, the bathroom facilities felt quite limited, with only a few showers shared among many guests, making it difficult to find availability.

the owner was absolutely curt and unfriendly, which was quite charming, just not in the way one would hope. rooms are sooo cramped, like they think we’re all sardines or something. ah, the shower situation was a delightful game of hide-and-seek, no one found! would have been nice to have some complimentary treatment, but alas.

I stayed for 3 nights and loved the hearty breakfast, especially the fresh bread and coffee, but the room was a bit cramped and noisy at times.

Decent location, just a 10-minute walk to various attractions. Clean rooms that shine with a family-run appeal.
Check-in strictly starts at 3:00 PM, leading to a curiously tense wait even if you arrive right before. Rooms felt cramped with limited storage. only two clothes hangers provided. The showers had poor water pressure and a constant dripping sound that was bothersome, particularly at night. Morning congestion was an issue, with too many guests vying for a few facilities. Breakfast options were incredibly limited, even restricting whole fruits to chopped pieces, which felt overly controlling.

perfect base for exploring nearby landmarks and parks
i enjoyed my stay here because it was a quick walk to both the beautiful lake tjornin, where i loved spending time, and the interesting perlan, which offers unique views of the city. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of variety and the owner was incredibly helpful in guiding me on where to walk around the city.

Centrally located, making it easy to reach key attractions and transport options. The self-service breakfast featured quality items, including fresh coffee and a variety of choices that energized the start of each day. However, communal bathrooms felt crowded, and there were long waits during peak times, leading to some inconvenience. Additionally, some areas, like the garden, required better maintenance to enhance the overall experience.

We had a great time staying here with friends! The breakfast was a highlight, offering plenty of options. Plus, the location was convenient for easily visiting the Hallgrimskirkja church and the beautiful lake nearby. Don't miss out on the tour desk for planning your adventures. Overall, it was a good base for our explorations.
However, we did experience an unfriendly check-in process. The staff made us feel unwelcome when we arrived early, so make sure to check in at the designated time.
